I left on a jet plane.

Just wanted to post up some pics. from when we were flying on an airplane. Can't remember if it was to or from Amie and Jared's wedding but it was around that time period. It's not often that I'm in an airplane so I thought I could take some cool looking pictures. My husband doesn't care for pictures of clouds but I think they are cool and that's all that matters. Right? Feel free to hum "I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane" while you view these. I know I will.

Eating with sticks . . .

So we bought some chopsticks a couple of weeks back. We bought it at one of the most interesting stores I've ever been in. It's called World Market and they have a little bit of everything. Food, furniture, decor, lights, dishes, and what not. If I had more money I would definitely shop there more. It's not the cheapest place to shop but it's definitely one of the coolest. So today we decided to break them in. Let me say this, using chopsticks makes your hand tired! Maybe one day I will be deft with chopsticks but that will be after a lot of practice. Maybe I will be like KungFu Panda. I was lucky enough to pick up a carrot without flinging it across the room. Way to go me!If someone tried to snatch away my food in my chopstick they would easily snatch my food away. Of course Don has better chopstick skills than I do. But that's okay because I beat him at HORSE all the time. Just ask Don. I've got mad HORSE skills.
P.S. It's also a good idea to wear a grungy shirt when you are not confident of your chopstick skills.

Last resort station

So we moved here and I though that I would be able to find a decent radio station to listen to. WRONG! There is not a single radio station that peaks my interest. They are all one kind of music. No variety. I'm the kind of person who likes to listen to 50's and what's currently going on. They don't even have a station that plays 50's music around here. Craziness. So the station that I have decided to listen to on my way to and from work is . . . . drum roll please . . . NPR!! Yeah. I miss my favorite radio station in Idaho. I guess now I'll just have to be informed about the political scene.

300 lbs or bust!

My husband keeps making delicious butterscotch cookies and I just can't stop myself from eating them. I try to be really good. Honest I do. But they are just too tempting. If he made chocolate chip I might have one and that would be it. But there is just something about butterscotch that makes me drool. *wipes spit from mouth*

Mine! It's all mine!

So exciting(well at least for me)! Sprinkles is back but that's not what is really exciting. I finally got my Wakeshima Kanon CD and Don't Belive In Her DVD(AKA Too Beautiful To Lie). The movie is so hilarious! Love it! The songs on the CD are so awesome! I could listen to them over and over for days on end. They are so good! Maybe if anyone visits you could check it out. :)

Sprinkles is in hiding!

So since I don't want to pay a pet fee to have an animal in the apartment and since I would prefer to have a pet outside rather than inside, I am petless. So I decided to name this nice spider that lives next to our door Sprinkles. He feeds himself and catches bugs. What better pet could you have? But the sad thing is that he ran away. Maybe he'll come backfrom his "vacation" some day.

I made my goal!

So I have been trying to at least type 90 pages per day at work and I really came close one day last week. 89 pages. So close! But today I typed 93 pages. Now my next step is to try for 95 pages. But that may be a long ways off seeming as how it all depends on what kind of tapes you get. If you get a whole bunch of bad audio or people with thick accents, it takes a while to type. Who knows maybe eventually I could type 100 pages in a day. Now that would really be something. Wish me luck!

Yay for store closing sales!

So we weren't expecting to spend any money today. But we decided to go window accessory shopping and happened upon a Linens N Things store closing. Don went to look at kitchen gadgets while I headed towards the drapes and etc. 40% off! Everything we bought was the last of an item (well except for the blackout curtains which we bought at Walmart). Our room doesn't look so horrid anymore. Now we just need real nightstands instead of plastic tubs. Anyone willing to donate to the Don & Kristin need real nightstands fund?
