CTR Hero to Infinity and Beyond!

So yeah I decide this year I would give me primary class a computer game. Yeah I'm calling it CTR Hero and I'm taking out stories from the lesson book and putting it in a choose your adventure kind of game. You know clicking and the like. I think it will be fun but it's been a while since I coded anything. So I'm slowly relearning things and learning new things. We'll see how it turns out though. I mean this is the limit of my computer skills. Disclaimer no penguins will be harmed during the making of this game. :) Anywho here's white the title screen will be tentatively(may or may not change):

Here's what the quit, save, options, etc. backgrounds will be:

Yeah so that's all I have for now kiddos. Not sure how long it will be or whatnot. It's kind of a go with the flow kind of thing. Nothing is really planned out.

Don't be jealous of our weatherman!

We have the best weatherman in the world here in Alabama. Here's just a hilarious clip of him at his job. I laughed so hard! See it here.

Some people can SING!

I was absolutely surprised when watching this video. I guess you just can't judge a book by it's cover. I have never seen Simon Cowell with a happy grin on on his face while watching someone sing. This lady is so amazing. I would so totally and go buy her CD. I guess Britain does have talent. Here is the video. Enjoy!

It's all in a hard day's work.

Good news I have survived this whole year so far without taking a vacation day! Just two more months to go. Still going strong at work. In fact we are about one week and a half behind on due dates because we have tons of work. Since they got rid of our outsourcers, 5 transcriptionists are doing the work of 7. They really do need to hire another transcriptionist in my opinion. A bandaid isn't going to heal 12 inch gash. But maybe that's the stress talking. Sigh.

Any ideas?

Hey I'm looking at getting a DS Lite. Wondering if any of you guys having any suggestions on some good games. Puzzle/Adventure type of games. Something like the Professor Layton series. But even if you don't know of any ds game how about any game you have ever played and really enjoyed?

It pays to type fast.

Wahoo! Wahoo! Wahoo! I recently had a performance review at work. Wahoo! Well anyway I've been waiting since last week to hear about if I would get a raise or not. Wahoo! When you type an average about 1700 pages a month you are hoping that you will get one. Wahoo! So I've been trying not to raise my hopes too high. Wahoo! But don't worry I got a raise! Oh yeah. It's my birthday. I'm going to party like it's my birthday. Wahoo! Yay for 4.5% raises. :) Okay. I'll calm down now. Wahoo!

The most reliable paintbrush, a wet paper towel.

So the day after Christmas Don and I went to Sips N Strokes and did our landscape paintings. It took almost 4 hours because we waited forever for some people to show up. Anyway here are our paintings. Don's is awesome!

Fashion Doesn't Mean It Looks Good

I just had to share this picture. I was reading in a magazine and thought there is no way I would wear this on a night out let alone anywhere. Word for word from the magazine: "Dresses: These roomy shapes are ingeniously, strategically cut so they flatter rather than overwhelm: The result is instant chic.

The caption read: A fresh spin on dressing for evening: A watersilk number doesn't need anything more than velvet shoes and a major cuff to be big-night-out appropriate.

Wondering what the cost of such a nonflattering dress is? Why just a mere $500. That's right. I could wear a potato sack for the same effect and just smear on some purple paint. Maybe I should start making my own potato sack dresses and sell them at half the price. Think anyone would nibble?
